Bihar train accident: Trains canceled and diverted after Delhi-Kamakhya North East Express derailment in Bihar, 6 dead and nearly 110 injured. 12506 Delhi-Kamakhya North East Express derails in Bihar, causing casualties and injuries.

Twelve coaches of the Delhi-Kamakhya North East Express derailed near Raghunathpur station in Bihar’s Buxar district, resulting in the loss of a total of six passengers and 110 injuries.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar confirmed the death of six people and railway sources said around 100 people were injured as more than 12 coaches derailed. Hospitals in Arrah, Buxar and Patna, including PMCH, AIIMS and IGIMS in the state capital, have been asked to keep beds ready for the injured.
PTI quoted an Indian Railways official as saying that the accident occurred at around 9.35 pm near Raghunathpur station in Danapur division near Buxar and there was no report of any casualty.
The 12506 Down North East Express, which left Delhi’s Anand Vihar Terminal at 7:45 am, was headed towards Kamakhya Junction in Guwahati, Assam.


In an official statement, the East Central Railway zone said the trains that have been canceled include: Patna-Puri Special (03230), Sasaram-Ara Special (03620), Bhabhua Road Express Special (03617), Patna – DDU. Special MEMU Pass (03203), Patna-Buxar Special MEMU Pass (03375). Additionally, two trains have been partially canceled and they include: Patna-DDU Express (13209) which will run up to Arrah and DDU-Patna Express (13210), which will run up to Arrah only.

The stations which have been diverted on alternative routes due to rain include Pune-Danapur SF Express (12149), Patliputra SF Express (12141), Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express (12424), Vikramshila Express (12368), Kamakhya Express (15623), Guwahati Express (15633) is included.
